The idea that there may be something fundamentally wrong with the way we are currently living our lives is one that first started to dawn on me about two years ago, and is one many of us have begun to entertain.

At first the temptation to ignore these quite obvious facts that appear to us on a daily basis remains strong and I too may have been guilty of, for a short while, doing my best to not want to believe that perhaps this world is not being governed in my interests or in the interests of almost any of us.

This temptation is so strong for a number of reasons. Firstly that it isn't particularly pleasant to think that there are people out there genuinely doing their best to keep you from realising your potential. But secondly and most crucially; if you realise this then what are the implications for you and what will you do about it?

This second point is a daunting prospect but one that when considered in light of the fact that we may very well have no future if we continue as we are, becomes less intimidating by the minute.

About a year and a half ago I began writing a book which I intended to be an inspiration for anyone who has found themselves thinking as I have. This is that book, these are our lives and this is our time.
